Heidi Hakimi-Hood, a PhD candidate in British literature, is an adventurer in historic cookbooks and agricultural texts. A two-time symposiast at the Oxford Symposium on Food & Cookery and part-time food blogger (check out her blog at criticalcheesetheorist.wordpress.com), Heidi’s work in historic food and cookbooks has received international recognition. She is currently pursuing a writing project about Scottish fishing villages and their local recipes. Like Jeff, she too is a whisky enthusiast and hopes to demonstrate that whisky is a drink for men, women, and friends near and far.
