The 5K promotes fun and fitness through an urban course with a post-apocalyptic setting. Proceeds of the run benefit the American Red Cross of North Texas and Downtown Wichita Falls Development. The 5K kicks off at Dusk, tentatively 7:15pm.
Early packet pick-up & Registration will be held Friday, October 25th from 4-8pm at Planet Fitness, 3915 Kell Blvd.

This intense course takes runners through an urban environment with a post-apocalyptic setting— down city streets, through alleys, parking garages and warehouses. Participants of the 5K run are required to register as either a “zombie” or a “survivor” and encouraged to dress accordingly for the run. Survivors get a 1 minute head start!

I'm not in shape can I do this?
The 5K is considered a "fun run" and the level of competition is purely up to you. We will have some obstacles which you can choose to skip.
How much is it to just watch?
FREE! Check our course map and pull up a chair to watch along the route.
Is there entertainment?
FREE live music by James Cook & The Audacity, Rib Eating Contest, Costume Contest and more.
Who will benefit from the race?
All proceeds stay local and benefit our community- American Red Cross of North Texas and Downtown Wichita Falls Development.
Is there an age limit?
No age limit, but please remember the environment and theatrical costumes can seem "real". If your child is capable of enjoying a haunted house they will be fine.
Will there be a place to store my stuff?
Yes, we will have a Bag Check at the Farmers Market.
What about refunds?
This is a charity event and there are no refunds, but you can transfer your registration to someone else. Please contact us by October 25th.
What does Registration cover?
Registration for the 5K covers your entry to the run, plus you will receive a commemorative drawstring race bag and “Zombie” or “Survivor” bandana (we encourage you to wear during the run. Free water will be given to all 5K participants.
What do I need to bring?
Runners who pick up their race packets at Early Packet Pick-Up only need to show up before the race start (wear your bandana!). Runners can pick up their packet at the event from 4:00-7:00pm. Since the run is at night we advise you bring a headlamp or small flashlight to increase visibility.
What do I wear?
Costumes are optional, but encouraged. Runners are required to be on team "Zombie" or "Survivor". Have fun with this! How often do you get the chance to run around and scare people?
Can I bring a stroller?
Use your discretion. We will not turn away strollers, but some of the course terrain is uneven.
Can I bring my dog?
No. The Farmers Market has a strict NO PET Policy due to health code regulations. Please leave your pets at home for the 5K Run, as we aim to keep the race safe & enjoyable for all participants.
