2012 Membership Drive
It has been an exciting and productive year for the Downtown Wichita Falls Development organization. Now we are looking forward to the new year and with even more programs, projects, and revitilization on the horizon, we need your support! We count on our valued members to continue to grow the organzation and accomplish our goals.
A few of the accomplishments for the 2011 year were:
- Creation and distribution of Downtown rack cards
- Action Plan for the organization
- Marketing and promotion through the Pride in the Falls campaign
- continued implemenatation of Vision 20/20 plan
- increased participation of DWFD events
- Introduced a new event to downtown- The Wichita Falls Zombie Crawl & 5K
In all, we have hosted approximately 30,000 people downtown for our events! These venues are wonderful exposure for the Sponsors, Members, and Vendors to promote their businesses.
But, we are more than events....Downtown has seen an increase in leased office space (over 40 inthe last 15 months) and new stores as well.
We are working with the Pride in the Falls campaign to develop a family of new signage throughout Wichita Falls. The City of Wichita Falls has completed the infrasctructure work on the three intersections and topped it off with an attractive star design and landscaping to make our dowtown more visually appealing. The City is now working on the construction of a new transportation hub at 5th and Scott. The City continues to invest in our downtown.
